Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Last Updated: September 12, 2025
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is an integral part of the Terms of Service between Keyzol Technologies LLC ("Keyzol Host") and you, the customer. This AUP defines the acceptable and prohibited uses of our services and is designed to protect the integrity, security, and reliability of our network and the safety of our customers and internet users. Violation of this AUP may result in the suspension or termination of your services.
1. Prohibited Content and Activities
You may not use Keyzol Host's services to host, store, or transmit any content or engage in any activity that we deem to be harmful, illegal, or abusive. The following is a non-exhaustive list of prohibited uses:
-
Illegal Activities: Any use of our services for illegal purposes, including but not limited to, copyright, patent, trademark, or trade secret infringement; hosting fraudulent or phishing websites; and promoting illegal gambling or trafficking.
-
Harmful or Obscene Content: Hosting or distributing content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable. This includes content that is pornographic or sexually explicit on our shared hosting platforms.
-
Spam and Unsolicited Communications: Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam), whether commercial or informational. This includes purchasing email lists and sending mail to users who have not explicitly opted-in to receive messages from you.
-
Malicious Software: Hosting or distributing malicious content, including viruses, malware, trojans, ransomware, or any software designed to disrupt or compromise the security of computer systems.
-
Network and System Abuse: Any activity that interferes with the services of other customers or harms our network is forbidden. This includes:
-
Denial of Service (DoS) or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
-
Unauthorized scanning of networks or probing for vulnerabilities.
-
Running scripts or processes that consume an excessive amount of server resources (CPU, Memory, I/O), which negatively impacts other users. Examples include certain cron jobs, web spiders, and IRC bots.
-
Operating an open proxy, open mail relay, or open recursive DNS server.
-
2. Resource Usage on Shared Hosting
Our shared hosting plans are designed for the typical needs of personal and small business websites. To ensure a stable environment for all users, we enforce fair use policies on server resources. Accounts consistently using a disproportionate amount of system resources may be asked to upgrade to a more suitable plan (such as a VPS) or may be suspended.
3. Zero Tolerance for Spam
We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy against spam. Any account found to be sending spam will be immediately suspended, and may be terminated without notice. We reserve the right to charge a cleanup fee for any costs incurred due to spam-related issues originating from a customer account.
4. Enforcement and Violations
Keyzol Host reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether a violation of this AUP has occurred. We may take any action we deem appropriate to enforce this policy, including but not limited to:
-
Issuing a warning.
-
Suspending access to your services.
-
Terminating your account without a refund.
-
Involving law enforcement if the violation constitutes a criminal offense.
5. Reporting Violations
To report a suspected violation of this AUP, please contact our abuse department with detailed information, including any relevant logs or headers.
We reserve the right to modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time, and we will post the most current version on our website.
